Japan International Aikido Conference
More than 2000 Aikidoka attended the International Aikido Federation conference held in Takasaki, Japan a few weeks ago, including two attendees from Sydney Aikido Dojo. A fantastic event with more than 40 nations attending. Top instructors from around the world shared their unique expression of Aikido.
Training with people you have never met before and with such diverse back grounds shows how harmony can be created to bridge cultural barriers. This is O'Sensei's silver bridge between the east and the west in action.
After the conference we visited Arai Shihan and Yuasa Shihan's Dojo's to deepen our understanding of Waza "technique".
Back to Sydney we are excited to take our experiences forward into our own exploration and research of Aikido.
See you at the Dojo!
